Neil and Marguarette Kirkes started the business in an 8-foot by 10-foot shed at 307 Flower Street Turlock , California . Since 1963 we've been Located at 999 North Golden State Blvd in Turlock , California and employ between 50-90 people. Roger Kirkes - majority owner and Vice President of Kirkes Electric gave up the day to day operations to his nephews in 1999. Roger still lends a hand when he’s not busy traveling or playing golf. Mark Kirkes - President, began running the daily operation when Roger semi-retired. Mark, an electrician since 1982 started our design department in 1993. Mark believes customer service and experience are an essential part of a successful growing company. Kyle Kirkes - CFO a graduate of UC Davis joined the family business in 1998. Kyle assists with general daily operations.

In 1993 Kirkes Electric added a fully staffed and equipped design team. We are able to complete new design projects or modify existing work to fit the end user needs. Our competent staff is assisted by the latest version of Auto CAD (Computer Aided Design) and other programs designed specifically for lighting calculations. With our knowledge and technology we are capable of performing the electrical design as well as the lighting design including computer-generated point by point calculations.
